The challenge
An IT services group at Matrix's scale runs many programmes at once, each with its own timeline and its own mix of skills. Demand does not arrive evenly: a project may need mobile developers this quarter and database work the next. Hiring against that pattern is impractical, and the alternative — a supplier who can only provide one discipline, or who needs a long ramp before contributing — creates more coordination overhead than it removes.
What we built
We work in two modes. For defined pieces of work we take the project outright, scope to delivery. Where Matrix needs capacity rather than ownership, we allocate engineers into their teams and processes. Because our team spans backend, frontend, mobile, architecture, database administration, QA and UX, we can usually cover a request without subcontracting it onward.
What it runs today
Six years of continuous work across successive projects. For a supplier relationship, renewal is the meaningful metric: Matrix has the in-house capability and the vendor options to go elsewhere on any given programme, and has kept coming back instead.

Fuel retail technology — Gilbarco Veeder-Root / Vontier
Ryware has been the data engineering partner to Invenco by GVR since 2020, building and operating the custom ETL platform, analytical database and reporting layer behind their fuel retail technology. The engagement began before Vontier's acquisition of Invenco in October 2022 and has continued through it — six years of unbroken delivery on the same platform.

The challenge
Invenco by GVR supplies payment terminals, forecourt automation and point-of-sale technology to fuel retailers worldwide. Operational data arrives from thousands of sites across different customers, regions and hardware generations, in formats that vary by deployment. Off-the-shelf ETL tooling could not accommodate the range of source systems or the reporting each end customer required, and the platform had to stay available continuously — retail sites do not stop trading for a maintenance window.
What we built
We built a custom ETL platform designed around Invenco's specific ingestion patterns rather than adapting a generic tool to fit — C# and Apache Spark for processing, Angular for the interfaces. On top of it we designed and implemented a dedicated analytical database, a reporting layer serving Invenco's own end customers, an operational metrics layer, and the integrations connecting the platform to surrounding systems. The architecture is multi-tenant by design, so a single platform serves many retail brands without their data or reporting overlapping. The storage layer is deliberately not uniform: Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake and PostgreSQL each handle the workloads they are actually best at, rather than forcing one engine to cover every access pattern.
What it runs today
The platform supports roughly 2,000 retail sites operating worldwide across multiple end customers, and Ryware maintains its high-availability operation as an ongoing engagement. Six years in, we still run the ETL, the analytical database and the reporting stack — through a change of ownership, successive hardware generations and continuous growth in connected sites.

SQLink Digital is part of SQLink Group, an Israeli IT services group founded in 1994 with more than 1,000 consultants across ten companies. Ryware has worked with them since 2025, providing project delivery and engineers on demand under the same arrangement we run with Matrix IT.

The challenge
Consultancies of this size need overflow capacity they can trust with client-facing work. The bar is higher than ordinary staff augmentation: an engineer placed through SQLink Digital is representing SQLink Digital to its own customer, so they have to be productive quickly and need no supervision to stay that way.
What we built
We supply engineers across the disciplines our team covers, and take defined projects outright where that fits better than placing people. The working pattern mirrors our Matrix engagement, which meant the arrangement was operational quickly rather than needing to be designed from scratch.
What it runs today
This is our newest engagement, running since 2025. We are not going to claim a track record we have not built yet — what we can say is that the arrangement is active and expanding, and that our longest comparable relationship, with Matrix IT, is now in its sixth year.

K-12 school nutrition technology (USA)
PCS Revenue Control Systems builds the software behind school meal programmes for K-12 districts across the United States — point-of-sale, free and reduced meal application processing, nutrition planning, inventory and family payment portals. Ryware came in during 2023, refactored the platform to resolve accumulated performance problems, and has supported it since.

The challenge
School nutrition software has an unusual load profile: near-idle overnight, then every lunch queue in every district hits within the same narrow window each day. The platform we inherited did not hold up well under that pattern — performance degraded under concurrency, and the codebase had accumulated enough structural debt that fixing symptoms individually would not have held. It also handles children's records and family payment data, so none of this could be addressed with a rewrite and a cutover date.
What we built
We refactored the system incrementally rather than replacing it, bringing the .NET and Angular codebase up to a maintainable standard while it stayed in production. That meant addressing the performance bottlenecks under load, restructuring the parts that made them hard to fix, tuning the Microsoft SQL Server layer, and moving suitable work onto RabbitMQ so peak-time requests were not blocked behind it. We now run the Kubernetes platform underneath — cluster health, scaling behaviour and deployment reliability.
What it runs today
Three years on, the platform serves US school districts through daily peak load and we remain responsible for keeping it that way. This engagement is the clearest example of a distinct kind of work: we did not build this product, we were brought in to make someone else's hold up — and then stayed to operate it.

Sensory Software Solutions builds smart city platforms for municipalities, modernising the services cities run day to day. Ryware built and operates the custom ETL platform, analytical database and reporting layer behind that work — the same architecture we run for Invenco by GVR, applied to a very different domain. The engagement has run since 2020, from the year Ryware was founded.

The challenge
Municipal data is fragmented by nature: every city service tends to sit in its own system, with its own formats, update cadence and history. Consolidating that into something a city can actually report on means handling many small, irregular sources rather than a few large clean ones — a shape generic ETL tooling handles badly, and one where the reporting requirements are specific enough to need purpose-built models rather than templates.
What we built
We built a custom ETL pipeline matched to those ingestion patterns, in C# with Angular interfaces, plus a dedicated analytical database, the reporting layer on top of it, and the operational metrics and system integrations around it. This is a deliberately leaner stack than our fuel retail platform — the data volumes did not justify a distributed processing layer, so we did not add one. Reusing the architectural approach already proven there meant Sensory got a mature design without paying for it to be worked out from scratch.
What it runs today
The platform has been in continuous production since 2020 and Ryware maintains it as an ongoing engagement — six years of the same team running the ETL, the analytical database and the reporting stack. It is also why municipal work runs through more than one entry on our client list: alongside Sensory we work directly with Ramat Gan Municipality.
